Welcome

De Meye is a privately owned, boutique winery situated in Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s most prestigious wine regions, with neighbours such as Simonsig, Kanonkop, Warwick, Laibach and Hoopenburg. To find us click here for a map.

The farm and winery is named after the De Meye river in Holland, where the first Myburgh, who came to South Africa in 1665, used to live.

The owners Jan and Philip Myburgh are the fifth generation to farm in this area.
All our wines are produced from grapes grown on our farm. They speak of modern vineyard management, great care taken from the vineyard to the cellar, respect for our environment and of attention to detail.

We are open for tastings: Monday – Friday: 9h00 – 17h00; Saturdays and public holidays: 9h00 – 14h00; Sundays: 11h00 - 15h00. Closed: 25 & 26 December, Good Friday and 1 January.
