An honest approach to winemaking, rooted in place and patience
De Meye is a family-owned farm that honours tradition, working with our hands, listening to the land, and taking time. All our grapes are grown on the farm, and every bottle reflects the rhythm of the seasons, the soil beneath our feet, and the people behind the process. We craft wines with intention, elegant, expressive, and made to be enjoyed with good food and great company.
At the heart of De Meye is the Myburgh family. Our story is one of generations working the same soil, always striving for honest, soulful wines. From the vineyard to the cellar, we keep it personal, hands-on, and true to our roots.
Our wines are made entirely from grapes grown on our farm. Each vintage reflects our unique terroir and a minimal-intervention approach. We produce just a few thousand cases a year, with attention to detail and a light hand in the cellar. Expect character, balance, and wines that tell a true story of place.
We produce a limited batch of lavender oil each year—pure, small-batch and distilled on site. It’s available exclusively at the farm and through our o
At the heart of De Meye is winemaker Liam du Plessis, thoughtful, hands-on, and quietly passionate about letting the land speak through the wine. Liam brings a considered, minimal-intervention approach to every vintage, allowing the fruit to shine while preserving the character of our small family farm. Whether he’s walking the vines at first light or fine-tuning a barrel by hand, Liam’s work is rooted in respect, for the rhythm of nature, for the stories held in each bottle, and for the people who gather to enjoy them.
De Meye isn’t just a wine farm—it’s a place to pause. Our tasting room and shaded garden offer a calm and welcoming setting to explore our wines at your own pace. Whether you’re seated under the trees or near the indoor fireplace, you’ll feel right at home. Tastings are available from Wednesday to Sunday. Booking is not required for small groups, but we recommend reserving your seat if you're visiting with a larger party.
Set under the oaks, The Table at De Meye offers a seasonal set menu inspired by fresh, local produce. Run by husband-and-wife team Leigh and Brendan, the restaurant embraces the same slow, intentional philosophy as our wine.
Enjoy a relaxed meal paired with our wines, surrounded by views of the farm.
